Valance
On my 65 it was just a bunch of bolts, most accessed from behindand underneath. You don't have to raise the car up. Two on each side in front of the wheel where the valance joins the fender (you can see the bolt hole clips in the photo), one on each side about halfway in. The last two I did were accessed from the front above the bumper near the center of the car on either side of the license plate.. I saved those for last so the valance would not drop on one side during removal. If you have the vertical bumper trim pieces over the valance, those come off too. Some of bolts run through a clip with a nut on the other side. They tend to spin unless you hold the nut with something. And you have to remove/disconnect the turn signals.
