He owns a Body Shop and he's out yakking with you? I bet he was just some lonely guy, short on smarts, he sorta kinda likes cars, and the long low look of your 73 is reminiscent of the movie car.

Long ago, I had a 79 Mustang, and worked as a mechanic. We used to service fork lifts, vans and such. There was a homeless guy who used to love to talk, and he would invariably bring in "parts" for my "classic". I always felt bad, because it was always chrome parts for various cars, not classics, more like K-Cars, he even dragged in a chrome rim from a Chevy telling me how good it would look on my car. He definitely wasn't all there, was quick to anger, and just like a puppy would be there the next day.
