Default Lowering

What all is needed to lower a mustang? I am looking around at parts. I found these 2" lowering kit for the back. I am wondering if i would just replace the springs in the front, or would i replace springs and shocks?

well, if you just want to lower the rear then you can just change the leaf springs, reverse and mid eyes are the ones that lower. if you want to do the whole car then you can do the front springs too

That is the link to the lowering kit. All it is is just lowering blocks and new U-bolts. Also i am trying to find 2" drop springs for the front. I think i may do a 2" drop all around when i get the money.

I have those blocks in the back with 2" lowering leaf springs.. and 2" lowering coil springs in the front with the shelby mod for another 1". If you can, put in new leafs first before the blocks...see how you like it.

some folks claim those blocks are prone to breaking and if they do you dont wanna be going at speed!

I used them on my Fairlane with no problems so far.

On the stang i opted for reversing the eyes. Depending on where you are, you may get a better result from a spring shop than the off the shelf mustang vendor ones.

Does it matter if the mustang has an I6 in it? If i cant find a 2" drop coil spring i will go with a 1" all around.

hmmm....just want to point out that it looks like your car is already sitting low based on your sig, meaning you have some sag already. Ordering lowering springs may not lower it more than it already is since lowering springs will lower the car's stance from the factory ride height.

Just wanted to toss that out there

I think i may measure it. I know it hits around 25 or 26 inches at the top arc of the fenders. Another thing i have to do. I know the rear was saggy but that was because the tires werent properly inflated.
