im getting ready to order my paint, primer and clear coat, im using dupli color paint, how much will i need or each?

 

I used 1 gallon of high-build primer, 2 quarts of base coat, and 3 quarts of clear.... I also used a white sealer primer( I painted the car white). I had to buy a gallon of the sealer, they didn't sell it in quarts...

 

where can i buy primer by the gallon, im painting it Mineral gray so im was just going to use grey prumer to.

 

On my 66 FB I used agallon of primer,approx 3 qts base coat(Bought a gallon)and 1 gallon of Clearcoat(Had some left).I found it was cheaper to buy by the gallon and you will have a little left over for touch ups or screw ups!!You of course will need the hardener,strainers,tack rags,etc.Good luck and shoot us some pics when its done!![:@]

 

i thought with the dupli color you didnt need the add is and stuff?, i dont know much about painting, its a giant experiment, where can i buy anything by the gallon all i can find is by the quart

 

The paint store I dealt with locally sells gallons/quarts/pints. Not sure why you can only get quarts... Maybe a Duplicolor issue? I used RM Diamont paint.

 

ya iono i really only need the primer for now. i want to use dupli color just because i help my friend paint his car and it was really simple and easy with it. any links will help. and for any other primers,
