eleanor
The original 73 Eleanor I'm going to have to say was the better one just due to the fact that it was the original and the chip foose one just looks like it's overweight from the front. Kind of a double chin. I hate the Eleanor body kits, really i just tend to hate most body kits...oh well.
I dislike the gt500e it changed the lines on the car and now everyone has one.I rather have a 71 mach1 drag package over the gt500e anyday. Yes first eleanor was a 73 mach1 351c 4v i believe grabber yellow.Racin66coupe that jump the take off and landing was real but small the car in the air was all cg thats why i love old movies everythings real. The first gone in 60 sec puts the remake to shame it was a low budget movie no 2nd takes no stunt men the actors did the stunts.
To answer your question, the 67 and 68's areusedto build thecustomized GT500E'slike inthe 2000 version of "Gone in 60 seconds". Halicki's 1974 version used a 73 sports roof. No other car has boosted this hobby somuch as the Foose version of a 67 Fastback named "Eleanor". New blood meansrenewed interest, especially with the youngpeople. So, if you like the look, want to cut the dash, add alarger set ofwheels, or even add a body kit, then go for it. Your car will be a little different,, andmaybe just a little more interesting to someone than the "paint dob",don't toutchit, concours beautys. Don't get me wrong, as I like all Mustangs, andto criticize someone fortrying to realize their dream or idea, just pulls the hobby down. Theirs room for everyone, purists, restomodders, and all in between. You won't hearany negitive criticism from me.

Thanks, its a Supercharged 5.4 Modular with a 125 shot of NOS. It was only a hull when I bought it and may have ended up as a pile of FeO2 or in the crusher. I can't say how much the movie effected the value ofFastback Mustangs, but it did spark and renewed interest. I'm sure glad they chose a Mustang for the movie rather than a "Boe Tie" product(that was talked about).Looking across themarket, the Mustangs are just keeping pace with the rest, as theirvalues are running neck and neck. I would hate to see our cars follow the path of the Model T.
hmmm...I'm not aware of the 73 mach 1, but I have to give props to foose then because it looks better than any 73 terd ever on the road. Do you have any pics?
