Default Electrical Problems?

I've had my car for almost 9 months now, and just recently it's started giving me problems. I've just come back from deployment, and I picked up my car which I had entrusted to a friend... Everything seemed in working order except that the radio did not work at all. I didn't think anything of it at the time; I thought it was merely a blown fuse or the like. Anywho, I decided to go on a bit of drive to get on the open road again. Everything was fine until I was on my way home, and it felt like the car was misfiring. It started to chug along and was attempting to die. Luckily, I made it home before anything happened, but my battery was completely dead. Since then, I've pulled the fuse, looked for a possible short, but I don't know where to proceed from here... Any suggestions or further questions? I'm in much need of advice so that I can get her running like she was before I left.

Not sure about the radio, but as for the other concern I would say your alternator and/or regulator are bad. The engine probably started running poor because the voltage was so low to the coil. I would charge up the battery and then check the charging system out.

Sounds like your alternator or Voltage regulator is not working.Charge your battery real good and then start the car and take a reading to see if its charging or not!Good Luck!![8D]

The first step is to clean the post and connectors and check for tightness. It could be corrosion since the car has sat for some time. Also the cold weather will take its toll on the calicum hybrid type (I hate those) and may have popped the alternator. A slow discharge is a hint of a failing charging system. Most chain auto parts stores will check it out for free. Welcome back.
