Default NEED HELP!!!

i Bought a 66 Fastback about 6 weeks a go and am in the process of detailing the engine compartment and replacing gaskets and such and i'm going to dump the stock exhaust manifolds and go with some headers. my question is its a 66 with a 302--power steering--air conditioning--rack@pinion steering and need to know which header will fit. dont want shorties, either Tri-Y or Full length. it would save me alot of time and have my Eternal Gratitude!! My car is similar to yours, but I don't have R&P. I used Hedman Elite headers. Here is a link to some info about the headers that I wrote up:

http://www.fastbackmustang.com/Proje...anHeaders.aspx

They are almost exactly identical to the standard hedmans (PN 88300) which is what I had before. The main difference is the elites have a thinker header flange, but the fit should be exactly the same. Many times you can get these used and try them for a test fit before you drop money on nice ceramic ones, and then sell the used ones for what you paid. Hope this helps.

I have Hedmans on mine but its not rack and pinion so I am not positive they will fit.You might consider calling NPD or another Stang Supplier for the right info and also check out the link that 66FB06GT wrote in!!

These will fit with R&P, I bought (but did mot use) a cheapo non-ceramic coat for the 66 they fit. I am currently using the shorty version of the same header. (ceramic coated)

These are for a 351 swap, but theywill fit your 302 just fine and they should give you a little extra shock tower clearance.

Other non-swap headers may fit, but I know that this style headerdid work with our Flaming River manual R&P with plenty of clearance.

I am not sure how these would clear a stock clutch linkage though. I will eye ball it if you need to know.
