Default Ever do something stupid?

I was out drilling out some aluminum making some .75" thick letters for a client logo on my drill press.
I got impatient and went from a 1/8 bit to a 1/2" to remove the inside of a R.
Bad move after it came out of the vice I cant count how many times it slapped my thump silly.
Nothing is broken just bruised and sore.

As a reminder I have cuts for every-time it hit from the sharp edges of the letter. So im mad at myself and this sucker is throbbing right now. On my 3rd shot of Mezcalito right now! I was going to work on my dash tonight now just need to relax and keep ice on it instead. great winged a couple of other fingers also those are starting to catch up throbbing with the thumb.

I guess what I was getting at as I was thinking about the cuts and bruises ive had my mustang has drawn
@ least a quart of blood from me over the years. Just a sacrifice to the Pony gods I guess. lol

Hey don't get down. Cars are blood and meat, cut the end off right index finger and had it put back on a really dumb move, broke right arm both bones above wrist, left f*** finger caught in grinding wheel, split finger next to that to the first nuckel with a power saw, 3rd degree burns on left hand fingers all 4, blew up 5 gallon can that had thinner in it and the can shaved the left side of my head, These are all I can remember that required hosiptal runs......now that I see this may be I should quit.

Been there, done that!!! It sucks! Now I leave the belt on the drill press just loose enough that it will slip when things "bind up".

Ouch!!

Dgulian, Law of averages say you should not get hurt working on cars anymore so you can't quit now!!

I have lost a fair amount of blood working on mechanical stuff, but I have not lost any parts or much skin so far,,, knock on wood...

Law of averages is not smiling so favorable on me,,, I better be carefull!

It's not until I see blood that I know the job will go right.

Nothing like having your hands black with 40 year old dirt and grease and slicing something open.

LOL No doubt then how good the gritty orange hand cleaner mixes with the blood just so you can see how bad it is.
