You might be able to buy new axle parts for a five lug. I ended up replacing my rearend with a ford 9". Is your front already five lug?

You have to have axles custom made or shorten a set from a newer car but the 7.25 is a weak rear end i snaped the one i had in a ranger with the 2.3 you need a 8 inch if you got a v8 in it.

Use a tape measure on both your axle and that one flange to flange the flange is the part the brakes bolt on also the springs it may be too wide.

Do it right. Get an 8" complete rear end and install.
