Default really getting pi**ed at ford parts

I have this 351 cleveland that came out of a 4X4 truck with a stick shift. I left the trans in the truck but have the spacer plate. flywheel, clutch disk and pressure plate. I have 2 C4 trans off 6 cyl engines. I finally found a bellhsg on e bay with the casting number for a 67 mustang with a c4. As time passed I hit on the 157 tooth flexplate with a 28 oz weight that is supposed to fit the bell hsg I got. Hope it bolts to the crank, been sick and I as yet haven't tried that.So far. $110 spent. Now the 6 cyl has a new starter I bought but it is a 3 bolt so now a starter is needed. All this to run a compression check. While I sit here I search for a torque converter. I need a 10 1/2 bolt pattern. 24 or 26 spline. My buddy is nice enough to come over and go in the freezing shop and check the spline count on the C4 trans. They both have 32 count splines. Now where in hell did that come from??????? Does any one have an answer???? One of the trans if off the 67 mustang 6cyl and the the other I know for sur is off a 1978 fairmount 6 cyl. What would happen if I got desprate and removed the ring gear from the 6 cyl converter made an acccurate set up on the bridgeport and drilled mounting holes in the flexplate (providing the plate bolts to the cleveland suppose to have come off an early 302) and
ran that on the 351. to radical?????????????
