well, heres a pic of the engine as of now.. before i drop it in tomorrow





nevermind the mess everywhere.

anyway - this is the dumbest question... in my opinion.. WHERE DO THE ALTERNATOR BRACKETS GO.. i know i know.. lol but seriously, does anyone have a diagram or anything that can help me, because the haynes manual sure doesn't and i can't remember where i took em off from

(please, don't shoot me for being a retard)

iirc,the long curved adjuster bracketbolts on using an accessory bolt hole on the lower part of the water pump, and the other bracket bolts on to both the timing cover and the head.

It looks like you have a 302, but here's some on my 351w, its the same family and general block so the braket locations should be the same (or very similar)

awesome, thanks. i used em today to get everything situated only to find out my bracket on the bottom was too short so i had to elongate it but it's all ready now to go in tomorrow!
