Rearend sheetmetal work
Thank you
Yeah, I was thanking God every second of the clean up that it didn't catch fire or spark. Mustangs Unlimited came through for me again because none of my local parts houses actually carry an o-ring for her.
I drove her about a mile last night and triple checked everything. Then today I took her to work with almost all my handtools piled in the trunk just in case.I love the new set up. The springs feel great and I expect them to get better as the break in. I love the stance too. She's looking more like a tough car and less like a dragging old lady.
Itook her out for lunch to Hooters with some of the guys in the office, the spring breakers were waving and telling me to do a burnout for them. I just gave them a rev or three. Last thing I need is to be cleaning rubber off my unpainted quarter panels. It was temping with the girls in bikinis around though...
I didn't get any pictures today because my camera's batteries died. I expect to take her on a cruise again tomorrow before I start the preping her for paint and then lay her up again for the disc brake swap. I'll get a few pictures then.

I forgot to update this thread with my progress.
Here's that body seam filled and smoothed. Unfortunately I don't have the facilities or experience to work with lead.

This is the sealer coat.

Full primer sanded smooth.

And she's finally one color again!

I have a lot of orange peal to color sand before I call her finished. I have been driving her around and enjoying the heck out of her. I need to get some pictures of her all back together and on the road.
