Need a opinion!
Well i got my car quoted by a body shop to remove all the rust on the car and they told me they were going to shoot the rust with some kind of rust remover then cut the piece out and put new metal in, then put a light coat of bondo and sand it down. he says the bondo is just used to smooth out the metal so its not noticeable on the paint. im a little leery about that and i wanted to see what yall think. overall i was quoted around 650 to remove all rust in pans, doors, rear panel, and pop dents. or1800 to do it all and paint it whatever. i thought this was very reasonable. he says it wont be perfect show quality but a good driver/street show paint. is there anything i should have him do or check when i get the body work done?
yeah bondo can be your friend. its whats under the bondo that counts. so if theres no rust then a little bondo wont hurt.
1800 eh? maybe i could find a shop around here to do my bodywork and paint my car black too.

it seems pretty fair. does it sound like hes doing that right tho? he says on the floors he puts the undercoating rust preventive. im thinking about shaving the handles and intenna and side markers. havent figured out the restomodpaint color yet.
Body filler aka bondo if used right is nice but more people use it wrong then right. Most use it as a hole filler or too thick thats wrong i won't use it over a 1/64 of a inch but used right you can't tell and a magnet will stick to it.The straight the metal its over the better and thinner coat of it you can use.
