Default Need Help identifying motor

block code is DOAE-J, so it's a 351 Cleveland. How do you get the year # and stock hp rating? It has a 2 bbl carb on it. Also, does anyone have a solid guess to what it would cost for a full rebuild?

It's supposed to say "D0AE" not "DOAE." That means its a 1970 motor. I think it may be out of a galaxy or a fairlane with how it has the "A" in the code but dont quote me on it. Its not a mustang one though cuz it would be a Z code engine. The cleveland 2BBL's were rated somewhere between 250hp and 290hp, not sure where though. "D" stands for decade with D meaning 70's and the second place is a number standing for the year in that decade with this one meaning year "0" or 70. The 3rd letter stands for model of vehicle it was in and the "E" stands for "engine." Pretty simple when you know which letter means which vehicle.
