I tightened the last bolt on my oil pan last Wed. I am waiting on my alt tendioner that March shorted me in my pulley kit. I called them up and they said it happens. They didn't argue one bit and said I would be supplied with one. Good customer service. I was going to start the engine this last weekend but my engine builder had a full plate. It will be next weekend if everything goes right. Of course I will video the run. It will not be in the car when we start it.
I have been on a spending spree once again. With my compression ratio at 9:1, I was worried about detonation. Detonation and superchargers do not get along very well. So, I ordered a Alcohol injection kit from AIS. It increases octane in pump gas up to 20 points. It also cools your engine. I can control the amount of injection as boost increases with a control ****. This kit benefits n/a engines as well. I will have the cleanest valves in town! I will be able to use winter washer fluid for my solution in the 1.5 gallon trunk mounted tank. Look them up and read their claims, very impressive.

I also purchased a new MSD ignition box ( I now have 3). This one is the MSD 6BTM with boost retard. It has all the stuff the 6AL has except the rev limiter is a soft touch. I can retard the timing up to 3 deg for each pound of boost.
Also purchased was a remote breather tank. With a supercharger, engine pressures are high and oil will blow out of your breathers and onto your headers. I plan on plumbing my breather ports from my valve covers to this tank.
If anyone has any comments or suggestions they are greatly appreciated. Stay tuned! Here are some goodies that I have recently purchased.

LOL its like you cheating off my test.
I was looking into the exact stuff you are using. the methanol kit and canton tank.
I was about to order mine. You just using it as a catch can or fill point by hanging it higher than the engine some place?

Great minds think alike! I will use the can to catch oil blow-by. I was thinking of mounting it in my fender well. But if it looks good I might mount it in the engine compartment. You do bring up a good point about mounting it higher. I just wanted to prevent oil from blowing on the exhaust but it will still do that mounted higher and will serve as a fill point as well. Great tip, thanks!

i run alcohol injection on my wrx/sti,...i gained 34whp and 28ft/lbs at the wheels with alcohol,...its been around for ever with boosted cars,...i run a mix 50/50 of denatured alcohol/distilled water,...if you are running straight alcohol make sure the pump is built for that, i have seen alcohol eat away at the pump and the pump cuts out and BOOOOM goes the motor! if you run a mix make sure its distilled water so you dont leave any deposites on the inside of your engine from regualr tap water,...
here is my setup, you can see the tank all the way on the right,..it used to be the windshield washer tank...and the pump is in front of it with a pressure guage, and you can see the line run into the return pipe right before the TB,..make sure your nozzle is about 6-8 inchs away from the TB so the water or alcohol has a chance to atomize...
alcohol injection is greeeat

YOU MUST run a breather can...we call them catch cans in the import world, haha, but yea, there is so much pressure running through there, you get alot of blow by,...heres a tip,...put a couple pieces of cotton in the canister,..it will soak up the oil and not let it blow out the filter on top,...mine also has a valve on the bottom i can open to drain,..i usually do it like once a month and get a couple drops out of it,....
i dont know much about the muscle cars yet, but im sure there is no sort of engine management with your car right?,...cause our cars have to be "tuned" and alot of tuning/dyno time to get it right,...i have a boost activated progressive system,...the pump is 150psi pump,..kicks on at 7psi and hits its 150psi at 17psi...and i run 23 pounds of boost,...so from 17psi-23 that pump is screamin,...hahah it sounds really wicked,...ill see if i can dig up a old video...

make sure you rubber mount your holley blue...noisy bastards if mounted direct on a steel rail.
what fan arrangement are you going to run with that nice shiny new radiator? Have you bought your tefba (gano or sock) filter yet????
