holley blues will always have some noise but if you use a solid rubber block to mount they are passable. Assume you know to mount it right back near the tank as they are "pushers" not "pullers".

I like the tefbas cos they are easy to access and clean. They are an absolute must for alum radiators after any rebuild especially cos you cant pull the tanks off an alum rad as easily as a copper/brass one. They might cost $70 or so, but what does a new radiator cost?

You'll find that it takes a few full heat cycles of the engine then all the gunk inside themotor(and in your heater core) will start to unload on that thing. I'm still pulling small amounts of gunk 2 years on.

That article they mounted it sideways...better to mount it vertical. There is a polished alum one now if you really want the look under the hood. the plain ones are pretty ugly.

LOl Your 6 lbs on a 347 will match or pass the torque of his 23lbs. That blower is going to be insane!
I have a built 347 also with all the go fast goodies im using a novi 1200 paxton. 6-8 lbs is all im going for.
Curious what trans are your using to get that power to the rear?

23 lbs! That's crazy talk[8D] I will start with 6 and work my way up to 10 if possible.

Well, I had a friend growing up that had a 65 and a 66 GT350. They both had toploaders. When he used to let me drive I would bang them gears. I always wanted a toploader after that. Of course they didn't have the 5 speed conversions then. So, needless to say I am going to run a toploader 4 speed. I have the Centerforce 10 1/2" clutch and pressure plate as well.

I stopped by the shop tonight to drop off some stuff for my engine. We are going to make a final small parts list for the weekend. Stuff like plugs, hoses, etc. We are still planning on starting it this weekend. He is going to fill it to the lifter journals with oil to check for leaks. We will drain that and add Rotella for the start up. I can't wait!

Aussie, your story keeps sticking in the back of my mind. Please say a prayer for my little 347. I hope you get back on track soon.
