Default Parts?

Hi, I am new to the forum. I have a 64 1/2 mustang convertible. The exterior has been restored nicely to close to the original Prairie Bronze color. The interior trim (from the VIN info) is listed as Palmino Vinyl. I need to do some interior work on it, and need a new steering wheel. However, I am finding it very difficult to find a brown one. Any help would be appreciated!

Steering Wheels can be tough. NPD is great, butthey did not have the right wheel for my car so I paid an arm and a legand a few toes for an orginal on ebay. I know Grant makes a knock off that is closeto the early wheels, but way off of 69, 69, 70. Since you have a 64.5, I would try to stay orginal. http://www.perogie.com/has some orginal stuff that is pretty good. I got mine from ponywarehouse@comcast.netand it was top notch.

Thanks! I will do some research on those sites. I have gone to Mustangs Plus and have also used their website. Now the big question, how difficult is it to replace one?

I think its pretty easy (someone correct me if im wrong), but you will need a steering wheel puller which you can get pretty cheap at harbor freight.

Along with the other Mustang parts dealers listed, you might want to try California Mustangs or Sacramento Mustang for parts. Good luck!

I just replaced mine, vary easy, +1 on the puller. Mustang plus is expensive, mustangsunlimited or NPD will save you some money.
