it works but i have a power invertor and a fan and some other stuff thats ran off my cigar lighter. but none of it works unless my car is running. why is it like this?
Not sure what you are asking exactly, but the cigarette lighter wont work unless the key is turned because it is wired to the ignition. That way it wont drain the battery...
That's the way they made a lot of cars back then. The cigarette lighter would not work unless the key was at Accessory, Start or Run. My 65 is the same way.
