Default Random questions

In my 65 coupe does anyone know where I can find out where the courtesy lamps are in the inside because the door switches are there but I have no lights and it would be nice to have them. Also if you can tell me where the light on the inside of the trunk is for a 65 it would be helpful to.

My drivers side door has a huge spot of rust in the bottom (bought the car like that) and I'm looking to replace the door with another 65 door not sheetmetal from Yearone or NPD (Not knocking their stuff) I just want an original door. So does anyone know where I could possibly find one in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area? Unless you guys have a better solution to my problem. I will post pictures of the door tomorrow when I get home from school.

lamps are under the dash - stick your head under and you'll see them. first place to look is a blown fuse. the box is under the dash up above the drivers side footwell.

the door may be repairable by a good shop. post some pics when you can

Aussie66Fastback is perfectly right.
I didn't know that I had courtesay lights until I saw the door switches. And even then I never bothered.
A year later down the road I checked, and under the dash are 2 circle shaped bulb holders (in case your bulbs are missing just as in my car).
I replaced them and now I wonder why I left it so long. They're great.

And even better, a month ago I found that when I turn my light switch the full way (over a litrtle stop), the courtesy lights come on as well.
That was news to me ;-)

Aside from trying to fix the door. Try looking in craigslist and go to any car shows/swap meets to find replacements. These days there are alot of people selling anything they can from old mustangs so you may find what you need. You can also try giving a call to the local mustang resto shops around. Most of them have old parts cars around the shop for their use and may be willing to sell you a door if they have it.
I know the owner of Mid-Cities Mustang in Euless and he is a pretty good guy and might be able to point you in the right direction.

Okay I got some pics of the door and under the dash so hopefully this will give you a better idea as to what is up.

This is the only kind of bulb holder that I found and there is no bulb and the wires are cut. How many of these are there supposed to be? Is there one in the trunk at all?

This is the hole in the door it about 1 inch x 1 inch give or take exactness.
