painting ideas??????
When it comes time to paint should one keep it original? I bought a 66 coupe and it is currently white with turquoise and white pony interior. I plan to re do the interior in the same color. She is basically gonna be a daily driver/cruiser. I was kinda throwing out the idea of turqoise like the interior. I wish I could get a marti report : ( then I would totally keep her original.
I don't see anything wrong with whatever color you want. I am going original on mine because I want original and the interior is a color match. I could not really change the paint without changing out the whole interior. With a white interior you can pretty much do what you want. I think turqoise would look nice. I agree with palerider that Machs and GTs are best left original color, or with Machs, at least a standard Mach color.
I agree, but I don't get everyone always talking about coupes as if they are throw aways. I personally think coupes are cooler and that's why I chose one. Fastbacks are overrated.
That said, if the car is otherwise original, I'd keep it that way as much as is practical. If you're planning on modding it now or down the road, then choose the color you like best. I think turquoise would be great looking either way.

All in good fun, I am just being an A-hole,,,

I like em both........... Oh, andyou should paint the car how ever you like, it is for sure a personal choice, however, a paint job is usually more difficult when changing colors, more detail to be concerned with.
you got a door tag?
that will tell you what its original colour is.
otherwise, i'm with the others. paint it whatever you like
FWIW, i would apply the same rule to my fastback unless it was a shelby...and my fastbackis def way way cooler than any coupe, Texas
