Its not that they are saying that coupes are like throw-aways, its just that with higher dollar cars such as fastbacks and mach's it adds value to the car to keep it the original color, or at a minimum at least a color offered during that year. Since coupes are more common and therefore have less value, the paint color does not affect the value, rather the QUALITY of the paint job is what gives it value.

With that being said, do what you want. But I tend to like cars kept original better, but it doesn't really matter if it looks awesome in the end. So ultimitely do what YOU like and paint it a color that you can look at every day and be happy with.

 

since I am keeping the interior the original turqoise and white pony I am gonna go with turqoise factory color for paint. This is gonna be my baby and I am not gonna sell her anytime soon : )
