Default fuel pump

I did end up getting the flowmaster rear exhaust kit for my 66.
As pointed out before I need to move my fuel pump. Do you guys see any problem mounting it in the trunk next to the fuel cell on the left side.

Honestly, I don't like the to have any fuel lines/connections inside the car particularly when the fuel is under pressure. I would recommend trying to find an alternate mounting location further forward under the car. You might need to get creative as I can see that you may have limited options!

If it were my car, I do not think I could possibly put the line inside the car. I sit here trying to think of an instance where I might deviate from this position, but other than making part of the inside of the car "outside" by cutting and fabricating, I just can't.

The thought of 10 or 12 gallons of gas pooling under the seat if I were trapped or incapacitated in an accident does not appeal to me!

Speaking of this I need to get busy making the shield I have envisioned above the gas tank of the 66.....

Yeah thats whats bothering me too.
Thats why I put it there in the 1st place. I see guys that have them in the trunk just makes me cringe.
Evidently its tack legal in the trunk. Im ay try it on front side of the tank shield.

Could just put dumps on the mufflers like I had planed to in the 1st place. lol

Turns out I can submerge the pump in the tank that kinda scary too with the power going to it.

Is it an inline? Mount it up under a frame rail in the rear, and use braided stainless line for the flexible fuel line.

Need to keep it as close and as low as possible to the tank these are push fuel pumps better than pull fuel.
Looking like ill be sealing up the trunk and putting it in there. On the edge in front of my tank. That or back to the dumps.
