Default RE: Spot Weld and Weldable Primer?

You need to wire brush the primer off where you drill the spot weld holes. If you don't, your arc will spatter and make very poor welds. The weld through primerdoesn't conduct well and makes it hard to get good welds (and harder to get the arc started). You will get much cleaner and easier welds if you clean off the primer where you are going to actually weld.
