I just acquired a 65 coupe and it has an aftermarket carb and the intake is a weiland is that what Ford used stock or is this also aftermarket? I'm trying to find out what has been done to the engine if anything at all.

 

Its aftermarket. What carby is on it? Does it have headers? Electronic ignition? These are the basic visual clues if it has been played with. Are the heads aluminum? After that, its all internal.

Cool, no headers yet and the ignition is still stock for now. The carb is a holley 4 barrel as for the part # Ill have to get back to you on that one.
