Don't shot the newby for asking this question. I have a very rusted 67 coupe. Can the coupe shell be removed and replaced with a 67 fastback? I am not looking for a quick change, I know this will take some time, but is it possible?

 

No it can not, mustangs are unibody construction so you can't removed the car from the "frame". People have cut off the roofs on the coupes and put on a fastback roof, but this is very difficult and costs a lot of money, and it still never comes out perfect.

Anything is possible if you have the money and time, but as stated before it won't look 100% correct. I wouldn't waste my time if I were you.You could fix up the coupe or sell it and save some money and buy a fastback.It may take a little longer to save up the money but it's well worth it in the long run.
