Default NEED HELP FAST...Clutch assembly

So I started my T-5 swap today.. I have everything out of the carexcept the pedal assembly... MY question is should I just replace the pedals and leave the exhisting pedal housing in the car. or swap the WHOLE housing.

I ask because i bought a whole assembly with the clutch pedal and brake pedal already installed with new springs and bushing... Is it fairly easy to drop the whole housing or is this asking for problems?

I'm not sure on the 69-70 models, but on my 65 you can and should do it while it's in the car. From what I hear it's a PITA trying to get the assembly out.

I just had the same issue on my '68. It only takes aboutan hour to pull out the pedal assembly. You unbolt the 4 or 5 nuts holding the brake booster from the housing and the 4 bolts for the steering column. You have the pull the brake booster far enough out, so that the housing will slide down. The hard part for you maybe the steering column, but if you unbolt the steering column it will make it alot easier. Also, make sure that you make sure the upper portion of the pedal assembly goes on top inside of the dash. I missed that up and had the steering wheel sitting on my lap, until I realized my error. Also, you may want to pull your seat out, it gives you alot more room to work.
