Default 69 Quarter Panel Question

I have always thought the lines on a 69 FB were the best of all classic mostly due to the fact they have the side scoop on the upper part of the quarter panels.

My car is a coupe so I don't have these. I will be replacing both quarters on my restomod, and was wondering if anyone knows whether anybody has ever modded a coupe to have these side scoops? If so, any pics or other info would be nice.

Thanks.

ive never heard of this being done, but if you were too fabricate in those sidescoops you would have too do something with the factory scoops

Yeah, was thinking that if I did this I'd weld a patch into the depression for the weak '69 trim piece meant to look similar to a scoop..

Didn't Foose do that to a mustang project for the TV program Overhaulin. You might do a search for Overhaulin and I think it will show you the projects that they did for various people for each of the years that it ran.
