Default Rubber Spacers

I was driving a few months ago, I told a friend that My exaust manifold bottom scraped as i went over a speed bump. He game me some rubber spacers. 4 of them. I have an idea how to install them in between the front wheel springs. Any idea on how to do it though? Do i need to de coil the sping totally or what? Any help would be great! Thanks again

yeah, im not sure how they go on so this is purely a guess...is there any chance that they squeze in below or on top of the spring? like you could pull the spring, set the spacer on the UCA, and put the spring back in? thats just a guess...again, ive never used spacers so i dont know

just dont go over bumps. raising a car is a bad idea. lowering on the other hand is good.

you can get a spring compressor at a auto store or a mustang store and im almost positive they go on top. at least thats how the coil insulators go. idk if thats exactly what you have. the polyurethane insulators are about 3/16" thick. and you can get thicker ones, i think theyre like 3/4" or 1" thick. how low is your car?

Its normal height, accept the exaust manifolds / headers go a few inches under the car.
Again, can I ask why going higher is not so good, but lower is better?

If these are the spacers I'm thinking of they go between the coils. Do they have a smaller "waist" in the middle? If so jack the car up and you should be able to squeeze them in. One in the front and one in the back of each front spring. Don't expect them to stick around too long, they tend to fall out. Very sixties-ish.

Bingo, yes they are rubber spacers with a waist. I did try a min a go to see if i could jack up the front and squeeze them inbetween the coils, accept they do not fit. Ideas?

Attached is a picture of how low the header is against the ground.

There tube headers they always drag on speed bumps either get use to it or replace them with shorty headers.
