Default pitman arm, and control valve help

so i have all of my steering parts of, except the little ball joint that hooks up tot he pitman arm from the control valve, any help getting it out? i can just hit it with a hammer because of its location. if you dont know what im talking about ill post a picture later tonight

You are talking about the ball stud connected to the pitman arm. You need to use a puller to pop the ball stud out so you don't damage it. DO NOT use a "pickle fork" to do this as it will probably pop the ball stud out of the sleeve and bushing, damaging them, and also gouge up the pitman arm.

haha my steering was all mest up i just pulled on it and it came out of the sleeve, i knew all my steering valve was gone im doing a power to manual conversion. http://img514.imageshack.us/img514/47/056ea7.jpg

ya it can be and i cant get it out. im going to go buy a pen torch and heat up the pitman arm hoping it will expand a little bit.
