The term generally arrived in this country from the UK with the Beatles.

OK, the answer is, its a Dry Decked O-Ringed Boss 302 Trans Am race block. It takes special dry deck headsthat uses metal O-rings to seal, no head gaskets to blow(notice the recesses in the cylinder tops). These were used in the 69 and/or 70 season, and is more than likely from Bud Moore's or Holman Moody's shop. In race form, I think these animals were capable of somewhere around 570 HP and produced torque in the mid 400 range. Rare as Hen's teeth. Anyone got a set of heads?
