Spot welds :(
I don't bother with a spot weld cutter if I'm taking off sheet metal from thicker metal, Like where the apron attaches to the shock tower or the frame rail. It is a waste of time. Use an air chisel. The thicker metal will not be harmed by the chisel and it saves a bunch of time. Once it is chiseled off clean it up with a grinder and you are ready to fit your new piece.

I used a cutoff wheel and thinned the spotweld area then used the air chisel. Cut like butter. Had my right side apron out in like 20 mins. Drilled a few holes (5/16th) in the new apron and welded it in. Took the cutoff wheel and smoothed it out. Looks almost factory. I replaced both sides and had it all finished in a couple of hours.
