65 conv speakers ?
got a 65 conv, and wondering if anyone has figured out how to get sound in rear without cutting into the 1/4 pannels. I once saw some under the seat speakers designed for this, but haven't heard if they work good or not.
I have tried all kinds of stuff and here is what I did and it sounds great withoust shreding panels:
Go to walmart and you can by wedge type box speakers that have about 8" woofers for about $25. They are rather large...maybe 8x10x14" so the back seat is useless. What I did was run good quality wire back to them and put a pair of connectors on the ends and on the speakers. Now if I do need to use the back seat, I pop the speakers off and put them in the trunk. You can run a separate pair of wires into the trunk with the same connectors and hook them back upin the trunk and get **some** sound out of them until you can put back in the back seat. Sounds great because the speakers are pointed to the front instead of to the sides if you had putsome in the panels. Tons more bass too. Beats the hell out of everything else I have tried and cheap too.
