Default paxton question

Hey guys I finally hooked the supercharger up to the 347.
Scary! I let it idle for a bit,the just quick revved it.
Thought I broke a motor mount, but the whole car just twisted over to the right side and very quickly it hit the rev limiter on the MSD I think I have a 5000 in for now.

This thing has a rattle @ idle.(the Paxton) I can fell a little play in the gears not much just take the pulley belt off and i get a little click click maybe less less than a 1/8" play.
Once the revs go above idle it goes away. Is this normal? This is my 1st super charger its a Novi 1200 Paxton.

Check the manual, or call them and ask. And do you mean play as in the pulley will turn a tad and then you hear gear mesh, or play as in the pulley has slop if you rock it around?

Slop I guess would be the industry term. lol (Cousin Viny flashback).
I roll the pulley and just a lil slop very small amount but That seems to be the rattle.

The past dealings I have had with Paxton tech was very disappointing to say the least.
Felt like I was trying to ask the guy at burger king tech questions only to be treated like crap and never receive any help with the problem I called with in the 1st place.
Compcams and AFR pretty much gave me the info to build my motor so I know good customer service. Paxton was by far the worse I have had next to my local DMV.
I have read other blogs about Paxton problems but thought they had gotten past that point by now.

Well, superchargers get hot, and when crap gets hot, it expands. The slop may just be clearance necessary for thermal expansion. Does it go away once the blower has warmed up? See what the manual says, there should be some info somewhere on what the freeplay should be, if any.

My wife took some picts today.
Im the worst for documenting things
I was thinking I need to video this thing just want to make sure things are right and get lost in the moment.
Getting closer to be on the streets. I swear it was easier to cut the car apart build the engine and drive-train than all the small details im going thru now. lol

This forum has a blower section, pipes, boost n juice iirc. Someone there has most likely had experience with Novi 1200's.
