Default doors????

Any one buy doors from Mustang plus or CJ pony parts? Worried about fitment. Any thoughts?

Thanks

Most replacement doors come from the same source, regardless of who sells them. I'm in the process of installing the replacement "non-ford tooling" doors on my 66 coupe and so far they look OK. The only problem I've ran into so far, is that the hinge bolt captive-nuts were 5/16 instead of 3/8 so I had to make a trip to ACE for new bolts. I believe others here on the forum have expressed a preference for the ford tooling or OEM doors.

I bought my door shells from Mustangs Unlimited. I have only hung the passenger door so far and it fits good. I will be hanging the driver door this week so I can install my new driver quarter panel. I haven't had any problems at all. I didn't want the extra expense of Ford tooling since this will be a restomod. It all depends on what you want to do with your car as to Ford tooling or not.

I put an aftermarket non-ford tooling door on my fastback and had to make some adjustments to the door to get it to fit decently. I had to hammer and dolly the bottom rear corner and the holes for thecaptured hinge bolt plates needed elongated so it would adjust enough. Next time I'll go for good used doors as I was told there are no Ford tooling doors, maybe they lied to me.
