Default My project

Hey, I thought I would finally introduce myself, I lurk here and post over at boss302 being I have a serious love affair with vintage trans-am mustangs. I also own my own business building engines as well as buying/selling vintage mustang parts. Well I am on the ugly side of a restoration, well more like taking my fixation with vintage trans am and turning my lowly m-code 69 sportsroof into a trans-am inspired pro-touring style car. But were at the point where the spot weld cutting never ends and today we got the quarters off finally, and now were starting with the floor pan removal.Currently we are designing a whole new suspension for the car and hope to have some pieces that we can produce by 2009. Here is the jist of the build:

69 Sportsroof
5.0L big bore 32v DOHC engine.
Ford Racing Block, FR Forged 4.6 Crank, Custom Mahle 94mm Pistons 10.5 comp, Manley H-Beam Rods, CNC FR500 Heads w/Ferrea valvetrain, FordRacing Hi-Lift Camshafts, Comp Cam Gears, Custom 8v Maxi-Plenum Style EFI Intake holley inline 1000cfm 4150 throttle bodies .
Viper T-56 Trans, Zoom Clutch & Flywheel, AP racing pedal box w/hydraulic clutch setup- 3.91 Rear w/31 spline axles, detroit locker
ARE/Aviaid Custom Dry Sump Pan, Ford GT Dry Sump Tank, Aviaid 4 stage pump

RG Motorsports Front End K-Member
RG Motorsports Tubular Control Arms
RG Motorsports Ohlins Coil-Over System w/H&R coil-over springs
RG Motorsports Brake and wheel adapters for SN95 AP Racing Big Brake Kit & Ford Racing FR500 18*9 wheels
RG Motorsports 3-link w/watts and Ohlins components
TCP Forged Spindles
RG Motorsports Blueprinted Manual Steering System

Flat Shock Towers w/1 inch wedge cutout starting at firewall and ending at radiator support which is lowered 1 inch for a more progressive nose drop similar to bud moore trans am cars
Carbon Fiber Trans-Am style front splitter w/cooling ducts.

Also, has anyone ran a t-56 in a 69-70 before, how much tunnel fittament is involved I have seen varying accounts everywhere
