If that makes you mad, image you would have bought 40 liters (10 US gallons) of beer for that money and it slipped all out of your hand and spilled down the drain

how would that make you feel? so it's not that bad

I'm thinking more like this . . .

suppose that slick66 had actually come to a complete stop and then proceeded like he's supposed to - and then been hit broadside in the middle of the intersection by some other guy who's been running STOP signs of all kinds for so long the he hardly even sees them any more (I personally know of one individual by his vehicle and commuting routewho must be absolutely blind when it comes to STOP signs). Slick66 would then have a legitimate gripe.

Right of way violations are serious business because that's what gets people hurt. I honestly wish that more officers around here in South Jersey were willing to write folks up for that sort of thing.

I got a ticket for the exact same thing once. Sometimes the car your driving attracts the "unwanted" attention from the police. Just goes with the territory.

I'm with Norm on this one. I see entirely way too many people blow thru stop signs and lights like they're not even there here in So Cal. I rear-ended someone about 15 years ago for the same reason, I was pissed! Anyway, My $.02.

Well I almost had the same ticket ... in a 4 way stop, gated community at night, with my wife and my inlaws in the back!!!!

The COP did give me a ticket, I was supposed to go to court ... called several times and they could find a single trace of the ticket ... I just got lucky but now I always stop and I am pissed off when I see all the people that don't, specially in my community!

Yeah he also asked me about emission test ... I told him my car was too old for that

Stop means stop. If you don't stop completely and a cop sees you, you might get a ticket, it's the law. Worse though is if you don't stop completely and then there's a collision, chances are it will be ruled your fault.

Wow,, I don't think I have had a ticket in about 9 years....

Amazing!

Not that I have not deserved several tickets, and not that I have not gotten stopped, because I have.... but in some cases age and experience does pay off...

Would I trade more than just a few tickets to be young again?? Damn right I would.... But unfortunatelythis ain't an option... [:@][:@]

I don't buy that for a second.

I got the exact same ticket in 91 driving an 87 nissan sentra. Very common and not an attention getter in those days (or any day for that matter). Cop just busted him that's all.
