Default Brake line clip

Hi all,

I'm trying to replace the brake line that runs from the front to the rear and there are these clips, in the driveshaft tunnel, holding the old line in place. They are not screwed on and I'm not sure how to pop them off. Anyone know how toget these things off?

Thanks

I'm pretty sure they are welded on. I just ordered replacements from NPD along with all my replacement sheet metal. Hope this helps..

The Right side one is the Parking Brake Idler Bracket ; Part Number: 2A762-1A ; $10.95
The Left side one is the Parking Brake Lever Bracket ; Part Number: 2A816-1A ; $11.25

If this is what your talking about.. for the emergency brake. Here is a shot from the NPD 2007 catalog

It looks like this, except the two pieces that are spread apart in the picture are back-to-back on mine. It holds the metal brake line from the proportioning (sp?) block up front, tothe junction block in the rear.

Those things are not welded on. The two little clips on top are pushed through a hole and bent flat on the inner side, in the passenger compartment. You have to either 1. access them from the inside or 2. mangle the crap out of the from the outside. If you are looking to replace them with others, you will have to access them from the inside anyway to bend the little clips flat.

Yep. They go through a hole in the floor and the "tabs" get bent (like in the pic) to hold it in place. Carpet removal is probably needed.

I ranked them out, removed the tabs and put them back in using short sheet metal screws. It's not concours but I give a crap.

mine wher the same way as yours, had to cut them off "Carefuly" them replace them with your above item, you will have to remove the carpet and dribes seat, get a helper to ping them with a hammerfrom inside the car, thes two tabs that come through the floor board, those tabs need to be pinged or spread apart to hold. Hope it helps
