I have almost finished the chassis and I am getting ready for paint. I have one problem. Years ago someone replaced both quarter panels but failed to place the scoops in. So I have a 69 Mach 1 which looks like a 70 from the side.
I bought scoops and the receptacles for the scoops--These were cut out of a wrecked car. I need the dimensions/ template to properly cut out my quarter panels and weld in the receptacle. If anyone has suggestions or measurements/template I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance. HSB

 

Create a template made of cardboard...cut out by trial and error.

 

I just wanted dimensions relative to the front edge of the quarter and where the cutout sits in relation to the body lines of the quarter. My car is also meadow lark yellow like yours(69mach1377).

 

The contour line of the front edge of the scoop is 1-3/8" back from the edge of the quarter panel. The actual cutout is a little bit more of course.

My car's color is supposed to be grabber yellow (1971) or yellow (1970), the photo may show up as the lighter color you mentioned.

leave it be, slap some boss 302 badges/graphics on it. They came with the scoops deleted anyway.
