cowl repair

Default cowl repair

If im running a cowl induction hood can i just cover the cowl vent. meaning cover it and weld it smooth before paint?

I believe you can but you're going to need to buy an aftermarket defrosting system for you windshield. Your stock heater will not work with the cowl welded shut.

In fact you can do this no matter what hood you put on, even a stock hood. But from my understanding if you weld up the cowl, you just need an aftermarket heater/defroster that draws air from somewhere else.
