My mothers first car was a 71 fastback 351c 4v 4speed with all the mach upgrades(she special ordered it). Her insurance would not insure a mach they considered it a sports car. She learned to drive a stick when she picked the car out. My grandparents have told me stories of them sitting at a red light andwould see her drag racing past them on the cross street. She is also responsible for teaching me how to do burnouts on the side streets by our house in my old mach while I was still on my learners permit. I had to sell the car when I got my liscense cause the only people that would insure me wanted $3500 ayear for liability.

I'll try to get some pics up if I can figure out how to do it. She's looking rough now, but should be nice about July. Just got the estimate from the body shop. $10,500. Yahoo for me!

ive owned my 71 coupe now for 15 years, and i love it! too many mods too list, the problem is vendors are taking there sweet time getting repro parts to us, i need a door skin in the worst way, had to settle for a junkyard door with a crease in the bottom which is getting repaired now then the car can be repainted. but with a engine bay ready for a big block, power steering and power disc brakes these cars have a ton of potential. but untill people actually slide behind the wheel of one of these and drive em there never gonna know just how well they really drive. i had a 68 coupe that was lowered, had front a rear swaybars, kyb gas a just shocks, and my 71 with the stock suspension felt just as secure going around corners at speed. but to sum it up theses are great cars, coups and fastbacks, we just need the vendors to jump on board with us to help bring these cars back!
