Wheels for my 67 Mustang Question
I put 17x10's on the rear, 285-40-17, probably could have squeezed another .5" in there, backspace of 5.5 but 5.75 would have worked too. I have rear disc's though, not stock drums so that may be issue if your running stock drums. I did roll my rear fenders and will rool the front too. For the front I put 17x8, 4.5"backspace and they fit no problem.
percys makes a great tool for finding out max width and proper backspacing, summit sells em for 90.00 part# php-01201 i personally went with what somebody recommended, and to get them to fit i had to do some unwanted modifications. what works on one car may not work on another, this seems to be a problem after quarter panels and wheel houses have been installed. or you could find somebody whos willing to let you "try on" there tires and see where your at. my problem was i mounted them before i knew thet would not fit without some work. once i mounted them i owned em!
