Default Radiator Question

My dad owns a '69 convertable. It needs some work, and my dad doesnt have the time to deal with it. I also know a little more about the car. Ok here is my question, what is the difference between a 2-row radiator and a 3-row radiator?

Thank You

short answer, the 3 row is thicker and will transfer more heat to atmosphere.
THere is also 4 row but the gain is marginal.

choice of aluminum or traditional copper/brass materials.

When I went from a 2 row to a three rowthe guy warned me that I might have to change the fan spacer if the 3 row was to close to the blades. Mine fit fine, I don't know if thats the case all the time or ifI just got lucky (for once).

2 to 3 shouldnt matter...the header tanks are the same.
