Default Going on a month now

well ive been patient and now im getting mad. i really need to get my car running soon. it simply wont start. and its odd because ive replaced the starter solenoid and voltage regulator and checked all my wiring and connections. it will not start when you push the keyup to turn the car on. not even a sound from anything. not even trying to turn over. I know its getting juice because when i turn the key up from on to start the alternator goes down like its drawing energy to try to start the car. all my dashlights work with the key in the on posisition and all blinkers. I cant figure this out. Im sure the rod is connected in the ignition because the alternator reads the draw when i turn the key.
what should i check?

i dont want to spend another 80 bucks for a new ignition when thats not the problem. is it the coil?

Check to see that you have 12v at the S terminal of the soleniod when you turn the key to start.

well i dont know what to do. should i buy a new one? i dont want to have to buy all these things, i would rather try to figure out the problem. i think the switch is probably ok in the ignition if its showing the alternator going down when i turn the key. so then its the neutral? can i do anything the neutral switch to make it work

I agree 70 coupe, I don't think it is the nuetral safety switch. Check for the 12v, like I said.

you can bypass the neutral safety switch

your back up lights wont work and you could start your car in gear though..
