DARN milky oil!
Hello brothers I am looking for some help. I recently did a I6 to v8 swap on my 66 mustang. The donorengine was a nice running 68 J code. Got it running and took it to have the exhaust done and on the way back the valve cover was blowing quite a bit of whiteish smoke. When I got the motor I swapped in a new cam and intake. This was my first time dealing with ford engines, so I think I might have overabused the sealant on the intake gasket water ports during assembly.
At any rate, I pulled the intake today and it seems one of the gaskets was slightly moved during assembly. I dont know if that could be enough to cause water in the oil, but I am looking for advice. In another thread someone mentioned a cracked timing cover causing water into the oil.
Keep in mind there was no white smoke coming out of the tailpipe so I am semi ruling out a blown head gasket.
Any thoughts?

a slightly shifted gasket could cause an internal water leak. i have a trick when installing intakes i got 4 old intake bolts and cut the heads off then ground a slot in the top of em. screw the studs in then lay in your gaskets and set the intake down this will flat out eliminate any gasket movement. then simply start a couple intake bolts then take a regular screwdriver an unscrew the studs! works perfectly every time
