uhhh...no. Nothing more than a turkey pan adaptation from someone trying to make sure only cooler air is getting into the motor.

I thought maybe it was an 80's ram air for cobras. It looks as though you could put a thick foam rubber in the lip where it would fit snug under the hood. Maybe it's just a cheap aftermarket base that never caught on.
