its a bit of a bitch to convert to 5 lug, depending on your junkyard expertise what you need is to plan on shocks, 9" rear and leafsprings in the back. a proper (new) 9" can be very expensive while leafsprings and shocks are pretty cheap. the rear axle in the 4 lug is 6.5" and is REALLY bad.

What I personally did was put badass front disc brakes on mine and converted the front to 5 lug while doing that. I found it cheapest to pickup 17" bullitt rims from an 04 Mustang GT which fits without a spacer in the back but needs a fairly large one for the front.

The front suspension will need some upgrading to properly hold a V8 but seriously don't plan on more than a 302 in it with the 6'ers front suspension.

If they haven't decided what to do yet, you might have to start crying, but don't forget to yammer on incoherently.

Quit calling and take $1000.00 over there and put on your best poker face. Tell him you had a quad and it was nothing but problems and expensive to fix.
