Default Steering Column Support Bracket?

I'm installing GT foglights on my 65 Mustang Convertable. The instructions say that the small breaker (1" x 1" part that came with the light kit) should be attached to the "Steering Column Support Bracket." Does anyone know what this part is? Is it the bracket that is near the steering column and supports the dash? thanks

Default RE: Steering Column Support Bracket?

Well the steering column is only really supported in two locations, one is under the instrument cluster, the second is at the floor.

I suspect that they may be recommending that the breaker be attached to one of the two 1/4"studs tat extend from the dash under the instrument Parnell.

IMO if you securely mount the breaker, you could probably mount it anywhere close to the support. I suspect that the recommended location might be "concurs correct".

The steering column support bracket itself is a

.U shaped bracket that holds the column to the dash...
