Default Custom Trunk- Work in Progress

Just felt like showin off my handy work a little bit. I was tired of having an ugly trunk so I am trying to make it a little more presentable. I used 1/2 in. particle board and just wrapped it in some carpet I picked up from the hardware store. I am not done yet but I have to figure out what I want to do next.

A custom sub enclosure, but make it discrete and tasteful. Maybe some kind of toolbox for tools and spare parts. Just try to maximize as much space as possible and keep things easily assesable/removable so you can haul stuff if you want.

Nice! I'm considering making some type of figerglass board to cover smooth out the trunk. However, that is a long way away.

I'm surprised somebody doesnt make something liket this for the trunk. I bet it would be a big seller.

Even a template and instructions would be a pretty good seller.

I didnt run it all the way back because towards the rear of the trunk it is sort of elevated, which wouldnt allow the board to lay flat. I don know if thats just how they work or if mine had some sort of damage. also I thought it would be easier if I did it in 2 pieces so that it would be easier to install.

That looks good man, this is exactly what I was going to do with my 69, make two/three pieces out of plywood or something and wrap it in carpet. My friend got me a small sub for xmas so this is one reason why I want to do it, also because it'll look cleaner and just finish it off back there.

EDIT: and the trunk IS supposed to slope up like that...

I am kinda stuck at what to do next. I dont know if I should extend it all the way to the back, or if I should box it in like alot of show cars have. That way you wouldnt see rear seat. what do you guys think
