Ok i want to paint my car and i want to do all the prep work.
What tools would i need?

do you have an air compressor? thats definitely a plus. and a dual action sander to go along with that. your gonna need sand paper in 36,80,220 grits, sanding blocks, cheese graters, epoxy primer, 2k primer, body filler evercoat z grip works great, paint sticks, spray gun, phosphoric acid to neutralize rust, paint mixing cups, body hammers and dollys, welder if you need to replace parts that are welded on, etc etc

Nothing finer that 220? I am finishing mine out with 320.It is mostly original paint over original primer. New paint will be single stage original color and I don't have to do door jambs, under trunk lid, etc. That is all OK.

yes he will need some finer paper i do 400 then i finish all my body work with 800 this was a just a short jot down list
