Default A fastback opinion

I was trolling craigslist since I can't sleep and came across what may be an awesome deal and idea. I found a 67 Fastback for sale, its a rolling chassis I see from the one picture and description, I'm hopefully going to try to see it tomorrow. But my plan was to do the body work and paint it, then move the parts over from my current 67 C code or should I buy it and sell my coupe for parts money? My coupe is all original that runs and drives great but needs minor restoration. Please share your ideas.

Also what would be a decent offer for the shell? I wasn't considering going over a grand seeing if it doesn't have rust in the major expensive trouble areas, frame rails, rear quarters.

We all know that the fastback is the holy grail for the majority of us coupe guys, especially a 67.

a rusted hull is bringing 1k. if its solid they are probably gonna ask around 5k

as for destroying the coupe nah dont do it sell it or stash it away for a later time or just use it as a weekend car till you get the fastback done

Yeah you're probably right, I perfer my state of denial. But you're right about the coupe too. Its an all original C code, I know its not that rare but still its original. Also it probably be cheaper and easier to buy repop parts from NPD.

I called the guy and left a voicemail, hopefully calls back so I can go check it out.

I'll place myself dead center in the minority then. I sought out my coupe. Aside from the 69/70 I have always preferred the lines of the coupe.

Here are the pictures that were posted with the ad, the guy didn't call me back today. Hopefully I'll get to see it tomorrow.

Yeah I know you guys are right about it being worth more than a grand but I can hope the person is just trying to unload it quick.
Ahh denial and blissful ignorance, they are great friends.

I've seen cars like that sell for 10k. Best of luck though...
